Wake up tomorrow with a plan

Night one starts tonight, not next month.

Why this exists

It is 4:37 AM. The alarm goes off and it is swiped away by a version of you that you do not recognise. Someone with no memory of last night's intention, no interest in the plan you made, no argument to lose. I know that version personally. He goes back to sleep in a second.

You meet him again at eight, in the light, and the shame is waiting. You tell yourself you are not serious. You promise tonight will be different, and some part of you already knows how that sentence usually ends. I have made that promise more times than I can count.

But missing Fajr is a problem of sleep, of setup, of the two feet between you and your phone, far more often than it is a problem of love. Those things can be changed. So this is not advice from someone who finished the fight; it is the systems I use while I am still in it. And whatever happened yesterday, we are always one prayer away from starting again.
